Jacqueline graduated in Physical Education in 2008 (Federal University of Uberlandia UFU/Brazil), in 2012 she obtained a Master’s degree in Adapted Physical Education at State University of Campinas UNICAMP/Brazil. She integrated for three years the Brazilian Paralympic Committee’s team (CPB) working in the Sports Department as manager of the Brazilian Paralympic Academy (APB) and the Classification Department. She was part of the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games project, integrating the Paralympic Classification Team during the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games. In 2016 she was appointed as Member of the World Taekwondo Federation Para-Taekwondo Research and Development Committee.
Jacqueline is currently working as a PhD student at the Department of Sports Policy and Management (Faculty of Physical Education and Physiotherapy) at Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). During her PhD she will study Sports Management applied to Paralympic Sports, more specifically identifying key sports policy factors that contribute to the development of a Paralympic athlete pathways.
